First, We’ll decide what Medium you’d prefer
I am offering acrylic paintings and graphite drawings as options for mediums! By looking at both options, you can decide what works best for your pet portrait goals. The paintings and drawings will be varnished or sprayed for protection and carefully shipped to your location. If you live within the city of Edmonton, we can meet up so I can give your portrait to you in person! I do not offer framing at this time to promote your own creative framing endeavours.
Next, We’ll select a Size
There are two options for painting sizes and two options for drawing sizes. Portraits with two pets only come in one size variant for now! The size of your piece will change the price for your painting. If you already have a spot for your pet portrait to hang, measure out the different size options to see what suits your wall best. Keep in mind these commissions will need to be framed!
Let’s Decide on some of the Details
Fancy having your pet dressed up a little? Why not add a bow tie, a crown, a fancy new collar etc. This is completely optional as your pet looks great with anything or nothing! You can also decide what background color you want if you are commissioning a painted pet portrait.
Scheduling Deposit and Payment
It’s just $30 CAD to reserve your spot for the month. This is a non-refundable deposit that will count toward your final commission cost. This helps me schedule in the correct amount of commissions per month and allows me to spend the quality time your pet needs to make them look perfect! The deposit will be paid through my website and the remainder of payment will be settled through e-transfer or PayPal. Preferred payment options shall be discussed at the commission’s start date.
Sending Your Photos
After you’ve decided the details, It’s time to show me your pet companion! Please have 3+ HIGH QUALITY photos ready to be emailed. I don’t have the opportunity to meet and photograph my subjects in person so I only have your photos to guide me. Please be mindful of what pose you want your pet to be in as I will be directly referencing one of these photos. Lighting is extremely important so that I can see clearly all the details of our star model. The best lighting is always natural!

Booking Availability & Shipping
I will be booking 1-3 months in advance. Your booking time will be the month that I will ship out your commission. Your piece will begin the month before so please be ready for any additional information or contact during that time. If you have a particular deadline you are wanting to abide by please keep in mind this booking schedule.
Shipping always takes longer around Christmas and demand is always higher. If you are needing something for the holidays ORDER NOW!
All paintings and drawings are packed carefully to help prevent any damage. Depending on your location, delivery dates will vary.
Progress Shots
You will be able to follow along the progress of your special piece via email. I will photograph the portrait in various stages and share them with you! This helps us ensure that you are happy with the completed portrait.
Please keep in mind I need to stick to the booking schedule to allow time for all commissions. Timely responses regarding alterations must be done in the allotted commission time before they are sent off for shipping.
