Carla is an art graduate that went through MacEwan's Fine Art Diploma Program and  ACAD's Degree in Character Design. The combination of the Painting Diploma and Design Degree help round out her focus in the visual arts. She has done countless art commissions since starting school and is open to many more.

The Artist’s Statement

Carla never wants to lose her sense of wonder about the world and the fantastical whimsy our imaginations dream up as children. She is influenced by animated media, folklore, and fantasy novels the inspire the mind to dream. Her mediums include a lot of mixed media with a focus on acrylic, oil, graphite, and ink. Carla’s pieces start from a feeling and a character that would reveal those feelings to the viewer. They evolve as the surroundings either mirror the feelings or toy with them.
